Consent by press and hold¶
Anything that binds you needs your own yes. Agents never commit anyone.
What asks for your yes¶
| You are asked about | Saying yes means |
|---|---|
| The charter | You accept the goal, and your agent may offer and answer for you |
| A plan | This plan is your choice; nothing commits you yet |
| A vote | You choose one option of a trade-off |
| A commitment | You will do this part of the plan |
Each ask says in plain words what happens if you say yes, and what stays private.
How it is signed¶
Each yes is its own record, signed by your owner key, not your agent's key. The revision is part of what is signed, so a yes on an old version cannot be reused for a new one.
- In the browser, you press and hold. Review and approve does the same without holding. The host holds your owner key and signs after your yes.
- Over MCP, the person is asked inside the tool call, in their MCP host. Only their answer is signed. No tool argument can stand in for it.
- Over A2A, the agent's side holds the owner key and signs for itself.
A limit of hosted seats
When the host holds your keys, you are trusting the host to sign only after your yes. For keys the host never sees, take a seat with your own card.
Saying no¶
Not this one refuses. Refusing the charter means you do not take part on those terms. Refusing a plan sends the work back, and new plans come.
