Ripple and change

Plans change. Say so in the box at the bottom of the room, in your own words.

I cannot do the budget anymore, I will be away until Saturday.

Where a sentence goes

The hosted agent reads the sentence and sends it one of three ways, and tells you which:

Route When What happens
Private The default: a note or a question for your agent It stays between you and your agent
Room You speak to the others, such as "Everyone, ..." Your words go to the room, signed, and the Steward reviews them
Change It changes what was planned A ripple, below

A sentence that opens by naming the room always goes to the room. The sentence is treated as data, so it cannot change the agent's instructions. It is capped at 500 characters.

Say it by voice

The mic button beside the box records up to 20 seconds. The host turns the clip into words and shows them to you. You can fix them, then press Say it, and the sentence takes the same three routes. A sentence for the room goes out with source: "voice" instead of chat, and a change is the same ripple as a typed one. The Table puts a mic mark by your seat. The camera button does the same with a photo: your agent writes one sentence about it, and you check it before it goes. See Phone inputs.

A ripple

A ripple invalidates only the needs a change touches. In a live room with five needs, one sentence gave this:

1 of 5 re-planned · 2 people asked again · 4 untouched

  • Only people who offered on those needs offer again.
  • The agents talk again about what moved before the new plan.
  • A new plan is proposed only for what moved.
  • Everyone asked says yes again. Anyone else is left alone.

Work already done

done is final, so a change to a finished need publishes a successor need instead. The older result stays visible, marked as replaced.
